This privacy policy explains how Kasi AS (org. no. 935 211 182), with the address Falsens vei 62 B, 5063 Bergen, processes personal data when you use our mobile application Kasi and the website www.kasiapp.no.

1. Who We Are

Kasi AS is a Norwegian company that develops learning tools for medical students and other healthcare professionals. We take privacy seriously and comply with Norwegian law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Privacy Policy Summary

When you use the Kasi app, we collect the following:

Name and email address – via login with Apple ID. You can choose not to share this if you use anonymous login.
Usage data – such as features used and time spent, to improve the app.

When you visit www.kasiapp.no, we collect:

Analytics and user behavior – via Firebase Analytics.
Access to photo library or device storage is only used to allow you to upload the profile picture.

3. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

The right to access the data we have about you.
The right to correct or delete data.
The right to object to processing and request limitations.
The right to withdraw your consent.

4. Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored in Firebase and protected by security mechanisms such as two-factor authentication (2FA).When deleted, data is stored for up to 180 days before being permanently removed.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

5.1 Subscription Services

Kasi offers an auto-renewable subscription called:

“Kasi Premium” – unlocks additional premium features and enhanced educational content.
Price: $18 per year (or equivalent in your local currency).
Length of Subscription: Yearly, auto-renewing.

5.2 Billing and Auto-Renewal

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation.
The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.
You may be notified of price changes ahead of your next billing cycle.

5.3 Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via App Store Account Settings.
No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.
After cancellation, premium access remains available until the end of the billing period.

5.4 Price Changes

We may update subscription prices from time to time. If we do, you’ll be notified in advance. If you disagree with the new price, you may cancel before the new billing cycle begins.

6. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. For significant changes, you will be notified via the app or by email.

7. Intellectual Property

All content and materials within Kasi are the intellectual property of Kasi AS. You may:

Use the app for personal or professional learning purposes.
You may not:
Resell, distribute, or modify any part of the app without written permission from Kasi AS.

8. Use of the Platform

Kasi is intended for educational use only. By using the app, you confirm:

You are at least 18 years old, or have the legal authority to use the service.
You will not use the app to distribute harmful, offensive, or unlawful content.
You agree to use Kasi ethically and in accordance with applicable laws.
